The operation dates to 2012; by 2017 and again in 2018 it held the Pinot Noir Trophy and New Zealand Producer of the Year at the IWSC — and the Crossing Point Rosé, Chardonnay and Red have each been named among the top ten in New Zealand. Alex Coldicutt has made the wines since 2019 — wild ferments, weeks of patience on skins, bottled unfined.

Crossing Point.

From the estate — Lake Karāpiro, Waikato.

01
Crossing Point Rosé 2025
Crossing Point Rosé 2025Merlot 50% · Cabernet Franc 50% · 12.5%
Born in the 2020 lockdown — a drought year, beautiful fruit, and no pickers but the bubble. Foot-stomped, pressed off for just a blush of colour, long cold ferments in stainless to hold the aromatics. Deliberately pale, unapologetically Provence in spirit — now the estate's most popular wine.

02
Crossing Point Chardonnay 2024
Crossing Point Chardonnay 2024Waikato · 13.5%
Minimal intervention; twelve months in French oak. Gardenia, ripe apricot, roasted nuts and vanilla custard; lychee, nectarine and lime across a creamy texture. Only two barrels made.
$32.99
03
Crossing Point RED 2021
Crossing Point "RED" 2021Merlot · Pinotage · Cab. Sauv. · Cab. Franc · 13.5%
A blend of the red varieties grown at Takapoto. Black cherry, red peppercorn, baking spice and dark chocolate into Black Doris plum and smoky oak; bright acidity, fine tannins.

III.

Central Otago Pinot Noir.

Bannockburn & Gibbston Valley.

04
The Blend Pinot Noir 2022
"The Blend" Pinot Noir 202272% Bannockburn · 28% Gibbston · 13.5%
A marriage of two renowned vineyards. Gibbston brings rose, violet, raspberry and thyme; Bannockburn the depth — dark cherry, plum, toasted spice. Silky tannins, a lingering spicy finish.
$44.99
05
Gibbston Valley Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019Central Otago · 13%
From one of the oldest vineyards in Gibbston — a high valley ringed by mountains, warm days and truly cold nights. Naturally vinified: lavender, violets and rose over forest berries, bright acidity and soft tannins.
$79.99
06
Bannockburn Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018Central Otago · 14%
Planted on 19th-century goldmine workings overlooking Felton Road — warm, crumbly soils and really low yields. "The flavour is always just so powerful." Wild-fermented, weeks on skins, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
$79.99
IV.

Reserve & regional wines.

Hawke's Bay & Marlborough.

07
Hawke's Bay 'Reserve' Chardonnay 2022
Hawke's Bay 'Reserve' Chardonnay 2022Gimblett Gravels · 14%
Grown on the gravels of an ancient riverbed — you can still read where the water ran and dropped its sediment. Power and elegance: stone fruit, lemon curd, roasted nuts. Only four barrels produced; 50% new oak.
$49.99
08
Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2025
Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2025Lower Wairau Valley · 13%
From the lower Wairau, close enough to the coast that a brackish estuary runs through the vineyard — Alex finds a saline thread on the palate every vintage. Partly barrel-fermented; lees stirring adds weight. Only 1,000 L made.
$44.99
