Team Takapoto is a showjumping team operating from two yards in Cambridge, with one ambition: to take horses produced here onto the world stage. What began as a breeding programme has become a training and development focus, campaigning a string from the young horse classes through to World Cup. Hunter Lane is the training yard. Raffles carries the spelling horses and the broodmares.
The focus is the horses coming through: training, campaigning and developing them for high-performance sport, with a string of quality horses under management across two Cambridge yards.
Horses are bred and sourced to compete at the highest level of the New Zealand circuit, from the young horse classes through to World Cup, with the best of them produced for the world stage.
Meet the horsesTakapoto Equestrian operates from two properties in Cambridge, each with its own address separate from Takapoto Estate. Hunter Lane is the training yard. Raffles, on Maungatautari Road, is currently for spelling horses and the broodmares.
