Welcome to Takapoto Estate Winter Showjumping Competitions! Experience the thrill of showjumping against the backdrop of the stunning Takapoto Estate over five action-packed weekends. Whether you're a seasoned equestrian enthusiast or looking for fun things to do with the family, the surroundings at Takapoto Estate makes for an enjoyable day out.

Spectating is free!

Practice Day (Fridays)

  • Fridays: Join us for Practice Day, where horses and riders prepare for the weekend event. Spectators are welcomed to watch the training sessions.

  • Cafe Hours: Our cafe remains open from 8.30am to 2pm on Practice Days, serving up coffee and delicious meal options.

  • Rider's Bar and Food Trucks: After the practice sessions, unwind at the Rider's Bar or grab a bite from the food trucks, open from 3pm onwards.

  • Local Delights: Live nearby? Take advantage of our food truck takeaways for a yummy dinner option- everyone welcome!

Competition Days (Saturday/ Sunday)

  • Showjumping starts promptly at 9am every Saturday and Sunday.

  • Heights range from 80cm (for pony) to 1.45m.

  • Cafe: open from 7:30am. Indulge in freshly brewed coffee and scrumptious treats as you soak in the atmosphere.

  • Rider’s Bar: Our bar opens at midday, offering a selection of beverages.

  • Food Trucks: Additional options available from on-site food trucks.

  • Trade Village: Explore our on-site Trade Village for equestrian gear, accessories, and more, adding an extra dimension to your day out.
