Quite the classic bouquet and palate with aromas and flavours of peaches and cream, vanilla and cashew nut. Weighty and creamy with a near full-bodied mouthfeel, a satin-cream texture, flavours of peach and apple, stone and baking spices. A lovely wine with best drinking from day of purchase through 2029.

Fruit from Lake Karapiro, this flinty Chardonnay possesses fresh acidity and bright fruit, layered roasted nuts and an elegantly creamy mouthfeel.

Delightfully fruited and inviting, the bouquet presents ripe peach, lemon peel, vanilla, and almond meal aromas, followed by a succulent palate that offers excellent weight and creamy flow, well-structured by bright acidity, and finishes long and flavoursome. At its best: now to 2028.

Two precious barrels of this wine were made from hand picked Chardonnay clones 95 and Mendoza; both highly prized variants of Chardonnay. Wild yeasts and full malolactic fermentation bring a creamy texture and softness to this wine and are accentuated with barrel ageing. It’s made entirely with grapes grown in the Waikato region, a relatively warmer area within New Zealand’s maritime climate but cool nights during the growing season retain freshness and vibrancy in taste.
