“A wine from Takapoto Estate in Waikato. Their Rosé was in 2nd place in our recent Top 10 Tasting – a label to look out for! A bright golden-green colour. Bursting with a youthful bouquet of peach, pink grapefruit, almond, oatmeal, lemon curd, biscotti and jasmine florals that jump from the glass. As this producer has shown before, they’re not shy with oak, but handle it very elegantly, remaining on the balanced side of overtness. Toasty, smoky even – with a spicy nuttiness. Breezing along on a zesty acidity, the fruit sits up and has a fresh, green, juicy quality. Tarragon, salted caramel and orange peel also feature in my tasting notes. An energetic and complex expression from a unique location. 93pts” - Winefolio.co.nz
“Deep straw hues with a bright appearance lead to a bouquet of peach and yellow apple, whipped cream and vanilla pod. On the palate a satin texture with flavours of stone fruits, apple and grapefruit, some fine tannins and plenty of acidity deliver a bright refreshing palate with texture and flavours. Well made with a decent length. Best drinking from 2024 through 2028. 92+ Points” - Cameron Douglas MS
