A rich red bouquet with distinctive scents of dark skinned plum and blackberry, there’s a toasty earthy quality along with a youthful and exuberant drive. Full-bodied and dry, a wine full of dark berries and chocolate & spice flavours, plenty of tannin and acidity for power and freshness. Youthful and still developing with best drinking from 2028 through 2034+.

A flirtatious red blend composed of Merlot, Pinotage, Cabernet and Cabernet Franc. Beautiful, plush fruit layering rich cigar and herbaceous details, supported by fine acidity and silky tannin frame, unfolding a long, toasty finish.

Complex and inviting, the bouquet presents aromas of blackcurrant, dried herbs, cured meat, fennel, and nutmeg. It's succulent and supple in the mouth, offering good weight and fine flow, splendidly supported by chalky tannins, making it sturdy yet silky and rounded. A blend of Merlot, Pinotage, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon. At its best: now to 2029.

Lake Karapiro is better known for its beauty and freshwater fishing than for its wine but where there’s a warm day and a cool night, there’s often a vineyard and this tasty wine comes from those sunny shores. Takapoto Estate blends four interestingly different grape varieties into this savoury, dry, full bodied red blend. Merlot (44%), Pinotage (20%), Cabernet Sauvignon (19%) and Cabernet Franc (17%) each bring their own taste profile, offering plummy, earthy, blackcurrant and red floral flavours and a full body. All grapes were hand picked and fermented separately, then blended and aged in French oak.
