WALKING TOUR
Experience a guided walking tour through the breathtaking Takapoto Estate and uncover the beauty beyond the equestrian and event areas. Explore over 600 acres of native plantings on foot, fully immersing yourself in the serene natural environment. Your expert guide will share the rich history of Takapoto Estate, while also highlighting our eco-initiatives as a neighbour to Maungautautari Mountain.
10am start. Allow 3 hours for your Walking Tour (or a total of 4 hours if you opt to have a wine tasting at the end of the tour).
Includes tea or coffee and Volare scone for morning tea (GF not available).
Tour goes ahead rain or shine.* Please bring along appropriate outdoor weather gear.
Additional Takapoto Estate Wine Tasting available. This is $10 per person (payable on the day and redeemable with any Takapoto Estate wine purchase!) Note: We do not carry cash onsite (card only). Please indicate your interest when prompted on the next steps upon checkout.
Getting there: You can find us at 90 Finlay Road, Maungatautari. Follow the signs and go straight ahead on the driveway until you reach the Boat House to start your tour.
*If the tour is not full then the tour will be cancelled, and full refund provided.
*Please Note: A moderate level of fitness is required for walking tour which takes place over varied terrain.

Cancellation Policy: cancellations more than 48 hours from the scheduled event start time will receive a full refund. We're sorry, but last-minute cancellations (less than 48 hours from the scheduled event start time) or no-shows are ineligible for refunds. Tours go ahead rain or shine. If Tour is cancelled, full refund will be provided.
